Short Description
SBT Docker images based on Alpine Linux
Full Description

What is SBT?

sbt is an open source build tool for Scala and Java projects, similar to Java's Maven or Ant.

This image is based on Oracle JRE 8.

Supported tags

You can run the default sbt command simply:

docker run -ti --rm 1science/sbt sbt sbt-version

This image is configured with a workdir /app, so to build your project you have to mount a volume for your sources and another at /root/.ivy2 to hold the ivy cache artifacts :

docker run -ti --rm -v "$PWD:/src" -v "$HOME/.ivy2":/root/.ivy2 1science/sbt sbt clean compile

Hi, I got a problem, when I run the docker run -ti --rm 1science/sbt sbt sbt-version, I got the output Getting org.scala-sbt sbt 0.13.8 ... for a long while. Is there some suggestions to avoid it ?

Thanks for this, 0.13.8-oracle-jre-8 image works great. Currently using it to develop and deploy an Akka project. One small request: is there any chance this repo could be updated with an SBT 0.13.9 image?

Also, for those wondering, this image contains the Oracle Java 1.8 JDK, not just the JRE.
