This docker image contains all components needed to run the Bio3D-web PCA and NMA-apps.
To run a temporary container with Shiny Server hosting Bio3D-web you currently need to expose a directory on the host to the container holding data files and set generous permissions:
Set up bio3d-web data directory
export DATADIR=/home/user/shiny_data
mkdir $DATADIR && cd $DATADIR && \
mkdir annofiles biounit_files pfamfiles raw_files split_files && \
chmod -R 777 $DATADIR
Expose the directory on the host to the container using -v <host_dir>:<container_dir>. The following command will expose $DATADIR on the host (defined above) to /net/shiny_data to the container, and /tmp/shiny_logs on the host for the Shiny app logs:
docker run --rm -p 3838:3838 \
-v $DATADIR:/net/shiny_data \
-v /tmp/shiny_logs:/var/log/shiny-server \
bio3d/bio3d-web
In a real deployment scenario, you will probably want to run the container in detached mode (-d) and listening on the host's port 80 (-p 80:3838):
docker run -d -p 80:3838 \
-v $DATADIR:/net/shiny_data \
-v /tmp/shiny_logs:/var/log/shiny-server \
