Full Description

Bitcoin Classic

This image sets up a Bitcoin Classic node.

Configuration

By default, the nodes configures itself to run on mainnet with rpc configured to use a random password. If you labeled the container as "classic-node", you can read the configuration with the following command:

docker exec -it \
    classic-node \
    cat /home/bitcoin/.bitcoin/bitcoin.conf

You can change the configuration in two ways. First, you can directly set the testnet, rpcuser, rpcpassword, rpcallowip parameters by setting the respectice TESTNET, RPCUSER, RPCPASSWORD, RPCALLOWIP environment variables when creating the docker image:

docker create bitcoinclassic/bitcoinclassic:latest \
    -e "TESTNET=1" \
    -e "RPCPASSWORD=toomanysecrets"

Alternatively, should you need to provide more elaborate configuration, you can mount a config file under /bitcoin/bitcoin.conf in the container

docker create bitcoinclassic/bitcoinclassic:latest \
    -v /path/to/config:/bitcoin:ro
