Pre-build docker image with JENKINS-JX binary

Stop downloading images from GitHub manually. Stop worrying about the platform and where's the latest version.

Here you have the pre-build docker image with the latest version of the jenkins-jx binary, already in the image.

These images are automatically built weekly using a GitHub Action. The latest binary is pulled automatically for all configured architectures.

Usage is simple:

  • either use it directly, or
  • pull this image to use it inside your docker builds

Using the image

Direct usage

Run it as any other docker image, e.g.

docker run --rm -it [-v ...] boky/jenkins-jx

or make it an alias:

alias jenkins-jx='docker run --rm -it [-v ...] boky/jenkins-jx'
Use it during the build

Get the binary into your image by simply setting it up like this:

FROM boky/jenkins-jx AS jenkins-jx
...

FROM ubuntu
...
COPY --from=jenkins-jx /jenkins-jx /usr/local/bin/jenkins-jx

Using a specific version

If you'd like, it's quite trivial to pin your builds to a specific version -- e.g. boky/jenkins-jx:2.1.138.

Docker Pull Command

docker pull boky/jenkins-jx
