Short Description
This is a Zeppelin image that connects to PostgreSQL and can run R.
Full Description

zeppelin-psql-r

I used this docker image as a base

https://hub.docker.com/r/vwiedemann/zeppelin-r/

I hopped onto the docker container:

sudo docker exec -i -t 665b4a1e17b6 /bin/bash

Then ran the following:

Add libs so R can install dev tools:

apt-get update
apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev git zlib1g-dev libssl-dev gfortran libpcre++-dev liblzma-dev libbz2-dev libpq-dev

Set the java library path in R

R CMD javareconf

Inside R run the following:

install.packages('knitr', repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
install.packages('rJava', repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
install.packages('ggplot2', repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
install.packages('evaluate', repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
install.packages(c('googleVis'), repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
install.packages(c('devtools','mplot'), repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
require(devtools); install_github('ramnathv/rCharts')
install.packages(c('data.table'), repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
install.packages('RPostgreSQL', repos = 'http://cran.us.r-project.org')
