Full Description

This repository contains notes I took when using diverse tools and reading IT-related articles, over the last 10 years.

It should give a good idea of what I can work with, although it is primarly intended for my own usage.
This covers:

Number of files: 804
Number of lines: 145859
Number of pages (if it was a printed book): 5834

The directory structure reflects how I design systems:

  • I do not believe in a single language or framework which can solve any problem. Tools come and go. That's why they are at the lowest level in the directory structure (before the file extension).
  • What matters is to pick the best architecture to fulfill a set of functional requirements
  • In order to so, non-functional requirements must be considered, usually resulting in trade-offs (e.g. featureful vs. simple, stable vs. cutting-edge, or optimized vs. easy to maintain)
  • This results in choosing a specific architecture: platform, languages, IPC, etc.
