  1. cd to the moodle-to-be directory
  2. git clone -b MOODLE_33_STABLE git:// --depth=1
  3. download my Dockerfile from bitbucket,
  4. At this point you should have a directory with a Dockerfile and moodle directory
  5. from here docker build -t lamp-moodle .
  6. docker run -p 80:80 -ti lamp-moodle /bin/bash
  7. This gave you an interactive shell in the moodle container.
  8. start apache service apache2 start
  9. start mysql service mysql start
  10. follow directions here to create moodle database
  11. visit localhost/install.php and follow the installation interface or install via command line php /var/www/html/admin/cli/install.php
  12. Please note that the script that installs apache (upon which this image is based) is configured specifically for usage on my pc.
