Short Description
A Docker container for SSL proxying of another container.
Full Description

SSL proxy

This container runs an SSL proxy in front of a web container on port 80. Use this to enable SSL on your local development environment.

Supported tags and respective Dockerfile links

Self-signed certificate

Once the proxy is in place for your application, make sure you set your local machine to trust the self-signed certificate that's served up by the container so you don't get browser errors:

curl -O

sudo security add-trusted-cert -d -r trustRoot -k /Library/Keychains/System.keychain web.crt

rm web.crt

SSL your web container by adding these lines to your docker-compose.yml:

  image: evanshunt/nginx-ssl-proxy
  - "443:443"
  - "web"
