The Gravwell Kafka Federator is designed to at as an ingester termination point that relays data upstream to a Kafka Topic(s) rather than Gravwell infrastructure.

The Kafka Federator allows for using Gravwell ingester endpoints and relaying the data into a centralized Kafka event queue, using the Kafka Federator it is possible to utilize all of Gravwell's open source ingesters⁠ without the core indexers; or it can be paired with our Kafka consumer ingester⁠ to use Kafka as a centralized event bus that feeds Gravwell.
