Https Proxy

A docker image used to proxy another server as https
This does create any form of security, but can be used for testing other contianers when you need to mock a service it expects to support https.

Usage

docker run -d -e HOSTNAME={HOSTNAME_OF_THIS_SERVER} -e PROXY={PROXIED_SITE} guywithnose/https-proxy

Example

$ docker run -d -e HOSTNAME=secureWiki.com -e PROXY=http://en.wikipedia.org guywithnose/https-proxy

$ docker inspect --format "{{ .NetworkSettings.IPAddress }}" 22f884d8a1594918656501a8d90550bc4baff1dd7aea06bcc64004b76567d964
172.17.0.51

$ echo '172.17.0.51 secureWiki.com' >> /etc/hosts (Run in root session)

$ curl http://172.17.0.51/server.crt > server.crt

$ curl --cacert server.crt https://secureWiki.com/wiki/Main_Page
