Docker image to run speedtest-cli.

Overview

This image will run the speedtest-cli utility to test internet bandwidth using speedtest.net.

Usage

To simply use the image, pull it down from Docker Hub and run.

$ docker pull jmckind/alpine-speedtest:latest
$ docker run -it jmckind/alpine-speedtest

The output from the image should be the test results.

Ping: 29.437 ms
Download: 24.66 Mbit/s
Upload: 5.10 Mbit/s

By default, the --simple and --secure flags are passed to the speedtest-cli command. See the speedtest-cli documentation for more information of the various flags.

For example, to get the list of speedtest.net servers, run the following:

$ docker run -it jmckind/alpine-speedtest --list
