dockify_dovecot was designed for a school project named "Dockify". It was designed to handle a very simple installation of dovecot

THIS IMAGE MAY NEVER BE UPGRADED AFTER THE END OF THE SCHOOL PROJECT. DO NOT USE IT FOR PRODUCTION FOR YOUR OWN PROJECT

3. Getting started

3.1 Installation

Automated builds of the image are available on Dockerhub and is the recommended method of installation.

To pull the latest version :
docker pull keydownr/dockify_dovecot:latest

Alternatively you can build the image yourself.
docker build -t keydownr/dockify_dovecot github.com/KeydownR/Dockify/images/dockify_dovecot

3.2 Quickstart

Start BIND using:


The config files is located in /srv/docker/bind/

3.4.1 Upgrading
  • To upgrade to newer releases:
    • Download the updated Docker image:
    • docker pull keydownr/dockify_dovecot:latest
    • Stop the currently running image:
    • docker stop dockify_dovecot
    • Remove the stopped container
    • docker rm -v dockify_dovecot
    • Start the updated image
      docker run -name dockify_dovecot -d \
      [OPTIONS] \
      keydownr/dockify_bind:latest
      
3.4.2 Shell Access

For debugging and maintenance purposes you may want access the containers shell. If you are using Docker version 1.3.0 or higher you can access a running containers shell by starting bash using docker exec:
docker exec -it dockify_dovecot bash
