Docker etcd (alpine base image) with Kubernetes utilities to run at scale.
this container is based on etcd3
This proyect uses etcd.discovery.io URL provided for free by CoreOS.
If you run your own etcd discovery cluster, you can point these scripts to it in the etc/etcd.conf file.
Containers run with high privileges on the host machine, you should know what they intend to do. While this image is publicly available we encourage you do build it yourself and use your registry of preference.
docker build .
Deploying to Kubernetes
you can just run the deploy script:
I have seen clusters where one node gets in permanent reboot state. You can just kill the container, and kubernetes will spin a fresh pod. There is a prestop script that unregisters the etcd instance from the cluster, hence you should be safe.
