Wekan is an completely Open Source and Free software
collaborative kanban board application with MIT license.

Whether you’re maintaining a personal todo list, planning your holidays with
some friends, or working in a team on your next revolutionary idea, Kanban
boards are an unbeatable tool to keep your things organized. They give you a
visual overview of the current state of your project, and make you productive by
allowing you to focus on the few items that matter the most.

Wekan has real-time user interface. Not all features are implemented.

Wekan supports many Platforms, and plan is to add more.

You don’t have to trust us with your data and can install Wekan on your own
computer or server. In fact we encourage you to do that by providing
one-click installation on various platforms.

Upcoming Wekan App Development Platform will make possible
many use cases. If you don't find your feature or integration in
GitHub issues and Features or Integrations
page at wiki, please add them.

We are very welcoming to new developers and teams to submit new pull
requests to devel branch to make this Wekan App Development Platform possible
faster. Please see Developer Documentation to get started.
We also welcome sponsors for features, although we don't have any yet.
By working directly with Wekan you get the benefit of active maintenance
and new features added by growing Wekan developer community.

Actual work happens at Wekan GitHub issues.

See Development links on Wekan

bottom of the page for more info.

Well! I got Mailing to work. Have to enable the admin panel to configure the EMail credentials there. Have a look at this changelog.

Maybe its a stupid question, but what I have to do therefore EMail is working? No matter if I use "MAIL_URL": "smtp://noreplay%40<domain>:<password>@<mailserver>:25/" nor this way Both is not working. :-( Would be nice if someone can help me. :-)

I know that there is a setting-page now but I can not find any instructions on how to use it as there are no instructions for creating an administator-account. Wekan seems nice but it would help immensely to have a bit more help for the setup.

I hope you can get debugging output of the nodejs server by attaching to the docker container as well:

$ docker attach --sig-proxy=false <container_id>

When you are using Docker images. If you don't know how to configure the mail settings, please DO NOT SET the MAIL_URL env. variable. Now, find the container id of the Wekan instance (not the mongoDB):
$ docker ps

Then attach to the process:
$ docker attach --sig-proxy=false <container_id>

Finally reset the account using the web-interface, and watch the terminal output. I added the question to the FAQ section:
Ps. I also added 'How-to connect to the DB directly':

I have the same challenge with mail and notifying new users.

I have the same problem with docker installation to set the mail url, it always shows send email failed. Is there any way to debug the docker or see the log with docker.

Good job, mquandalle! Is there any way that I could set the email server and account for notification? Thanks.
