Full Description

notepad - A simple mobile friendly frontend for django-todo

This project was an experiment I started after a frontend savvy coworker suggested I look at the mobile first development style.
I am admittedly not a front-end developer, but I thought the challenge sounded interesting.

Components:

Google has an amazing Progressive Web Tutorial. I thought this was a good place to start.
When I found django-todo, I thought: mash up!
Docker is used to package up the app for distribution.

Quickstart Guide:

There's a couple of things you'll need to do to start:

I've baked into the distribution image an 'admin/admin' user, so you can log into the admin page.
You'll need to create a new group, which has all the 'todo' permissions.
You can either continue to use the admin user, or create a new user that has membership in the new group you created.
(Either way, change the admin password ofcourse.)

To kick things off:
docker run -p 8000:8000 'niallbyrne/notepad'

Live Example:

Login with admin/admin:
