A Docker container that provides binaries for log forwarding from Confluence to Splunk server.
Provision a Confluence Host
Container uses two environment variables:
SPLUNK_SERVER defines the splunk server that logs should be forwarded to.
Default is the non-prod server.
SPLUNK_PORT defines the port the server listens on
Default is port 8089
The following will launch the latest version of container on a Confluence host using the server/port defaults (non-prod), and will forward logs from a nordstromsets/confluence container named confluence, and from the nordstromset/confluence-backup container named backup.
The 8089:8089 port mapping allows the server to initiate connections to the forwarder (and is required!)
See nordstromsets/splunk for AWS VPC security group setup.
sudo docker run -d -p 8089:8089 --name splunk --volumes-from confluence -e HOSTNAME=172.21.34.246 nordstromsets/confluence-splunk
