0.9.1-1ubuntu1-1 (apt-cacher-ng)

Docker image which provides apt-caching services using apt-cacher-ng.

To use the apt-caching service, you can either update /etc/apt/sources.list to point to the apt-cacher, or add a proxy config to e.g. /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/00aptproxy.

Example contents for /etc/apt/sources.list would be something like this:

deb http://<ip_or_dns_of_apt_cacher>:3124/ubuntu/ xenial main restricted
deb-src http://<ip_or_dns_of_apt_cacher>:3124/ubuntu/ xenial main restricted

deb http://<ip_or_dns_of_apt_cacher>:3124/ubuntu/ xenial-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://<ip_or_dns_of_apt_cacher>:3124/ubuntu/ xenial-backports main restricted universe multiverse

--

Example contents for /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/00aptproxy would be something like this:

Acquire::http::Proxy "http://<ip_or_dns_of_apt_cacher>:3142";

--

Afterwards, run something like apt update to start downloading packaging info from the apt-cacher.

osso3 (apt-cacher-ng)

Docker image which does the same as the vanilla build, but also adds caching support for a few other repositories. Check out the Dockerfile for the wget+apt-key you need to perform.
