Short Description
Portbase absolute minimum base image based on Ubuntu.
Full Description

Portbase base images

There are several Portbase base images:

base-alpine

This image contains the absolute minimum to install and run most software.
This image includes:

  • OpenSSL
  • cURL
  • GNU C Library (glibc)
  • Timezone Europe/Amsterdam
  • Dockerfy (custom built version)

base-ubuntu

This image is an alternative to the base-alpine image when software just doesn't work on Alpine.
Please note that base-alpine remains the preferred base image!
This image includes:

  • OpenSSL
  • cURL
  • Timezone Europe/Amsterdam
  • Dockerfy (custom built version)

base-alpine-java

This image contains a fully working Java SE environment to run Java SE projects (e.g. JAR files).
Since it uses portbase/base-alpine as its base image, stuff like Dockerfy are already available.
Differences like "JRE vs JDK" or "Java 8 vs Java 9" will be solved with tagging

base-alpine-nginx

This image contains a fully working NGINX to run static websites (e.g. AngularJS).
Since it uses portbase/base-alpine as its base image, stuff like Dockerfy are already available.

See the base-alpine-nginx/README.md for more information.

Dockerfy

More information on Dockerfy can be found at:
