Short Description
A directory of Reformed Baptist churches around the world.
Full Description

This is a directory of Reformed Baptist churches, started by Johnny Farese.

You'll find the site live at

There is a redesign currently in progress. It's currently hosted at

Contributions are very much welcome. Feel free to fork the repository, and once your changes are made, you can submit a pull request. If you have any problems with the process, feel free to open an issue on Github or email us.

Updating a church

Both the map and the text directory pull the church data from the GeoJSON file map/data.json.

Once you've made your changes to that file, run the Python 2 script to make the necessary changes to the text directory.

New features

If you're considering adding a new feature, please first create a new issue so we can discuss it, just to make sure that's the direction we want to go.

If it's something that already has an issue though, go right ahead! And thank you!

Running locally

Local webserver

If you'd like to make changes and test them out on your local machine, git clone this repository onto your computer, and point your webserver to the repository folder. You'll find you have to have a webserver hosting the files instead of just browsing to them if you want the map to display markers.

Once you have Docker installed, run:

docker pull prbc/farese to download the image, then

docker run -d --name=farese-container --restart=always -p 80:80 prbc/farese to run the container.

  • -d is to detach after running
  • --name is the container's name
  • --restart is to start it again in case of a crash
  • -p is to forward port 80 on the host to port 80 on the docker container

You can now view your local copy of by going to http://localhost in your browser.
