RediSearch is a an open-source Full-Text and Secondary Index engine over Redis, developed by Redis Labs.

Redisearch implements a search engine on top of Redis, but unlike other Redis
search libraries, it does not use internal data structures like sorted sets.

This also enables more advanced features, like exact phrase matching and numeric filtering for text queries,
that are not possible or efficient with traditional redis search approache

1. Running with Docker

docker run -d -p 6379:6379 redislabs/redisearch:latest

2. Connecting:


3. Creating an index with fields and weights (default weight is 1.0):> FT.CREATE myIdx SCHEMA title TEXT WEIGHT 5.0 body TEXT price NUMERIC

4. Adding documents to the index:> FT.ADD myIdx doc1 1.0 FIELDS title "hello world" body "lorem ipsum" price "100.5"

5. Searching the index:> FT.SEARCH myIdx "hello world" LIMIT 0 10
1) (integer) 1
2) "doc1"
3) 1) "title"
   2) "hello world"
   3) "body"
   4) "lorem ipsum"
   5) "price"
   6) "100.5"
