Full Description

This image contains the following
1) Ubuntu OS
2) Oracle JDK 8
3) Plain installation of WSO2 Identity Server (5.1)

Require manual setup of SSL certificate and domain configuration

Steps example

cd /opt/wso2is-5.1.0/repository/resources/security

generate self-sign certificate into the WSO2's keystore

/opt/jdk1.8.0_121/bin/keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -keysize 2048 -alias mydomain-dname ",OU=Unknown,
O=mydomain, L=Unknown, ST=Unknown, C=Unknown" -validity 365 -keystore wso2carbon.jks -keypass wso2carbon -storepass wso2carbon -storetype JKS

Export the certificate (Provide a keystore password (e.g. wso2carbon))

/opt/jdk1.8.0_121/bin/keytool -exportcert -alias mydomain-keystore wso2carbon.jks -rfc -file public.crt

install to the wso2is client keystore (note: wso2is have 2 keystores, 1 for server and the other for client)

/opt/jdk1.8.0_121/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias mydomain -file public.crt -keystore client-truststore.jks -keypass wso2carbon -storepass wso2carbon

configuration file carbon.xml

cd /opt/wso2is-5.1.0/repository/conf

modify the carbon.xml

  1. replace the value of <HostName> and <MgtHostName> element with FQDN
  2. change the <Offset> value of <Ports> element (to offset the port from default port 9443 if required)
  3. change the <KeyAlias> value of <KeyStore> under <Security> from wso2carbon to the alias name assigned (e.g. mydomain )

to start the WSO2 IS server, use the script at /opt/wso2is-5.1.0/bin/
