Short Description
zabbix-server container
Full Description

Synopsis

This project contains the Dockerfile needed to create the sdinten/zabbix-server docker container

Code Example

No coding examples needed

Motivation

Started this project to learn something on how to create docker containers + I was not able to find a container that suited my needs.

Installation

Before starting the container make sure you have a MySQL database available with the zabbix database and users configured. See https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/2.4/manual/appendix/install/db_scripts for details. Loading the initial data is optional as the container will create the schema and load the data for you if the database is empty.

Start the container by running:

docker run -d -v <your_server_conf_dir>:/zabbix/server.conf.d/ -v <your_alertscripts_dir>:/zabbix/alertscripts/ -v <your_externalscripts_dir>:/zabbix/alertscripts/ -p 10051:10051 --link mariadb:mariadb --env "ZBX_DB_USER=<your_zabbix_db_user>" --env "ZBX_DB_HOST=mariadb" --env "ZBX_DB_NAME=<your_zabbix_db_name>" --env "ZBX_DB_PASS=<your_zabbix_db_pass" --name zabbix-server sdinten/zabbix-server

API Reference

No API

Tests

For now testing is done manually, create a container and test to see if it works :)
