Short Description
Docker of CircleMUD
Full Description

Work in progress; plan is to have a docker image which will provide a means to easily host a mudd. There are few issues - data retention being a big one. Watch for updates on this. The mudd I am currently using is CircleMud due to is trivial compile and execution on ubuntu 14.

Ignoring docker for a moment, you can install and run circle mud (ubuntu 14.04):
apt-get update
apt-get install wget
wget http://www.circlemud.org/pub/CircleMUD/3.x/circle-3.1.tar.gz
tar xfzv circle-3.1.tar.gz
cd circle-3.1
apt-get install build-essential
./configure &
cd src
make
vi config.c # set the port to 4000
cd ..
vi autorun # set the port to 4000
./autorun &

If you want to test it locally:
apt-get install telnet
telnet 127.0.0.1 4000

You can launch this:
docker run -d --expose=4000 -p=4000:4000 steve1281/circle_mud bash -c /go_mud

The you should be able to telnet in from your network:

telnet <host_ip_address> 4000
