Short Description
It's a thing for docker....
Full Description

Running on Docker host

  • build docker pull themagicalkarp/docker-thing
  • run docker run -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock -p 5000:5000 -d themagicalkarp/docker-thing python
  • set up port forwarding on virtual machine instance (if using boot2docker)
  • visit localhost:5000

Running locally (for dev)

  • pull and run the image on the docker host, as above
  • on your local machine (not boot2docker), set the tcp address from boot2docker socket in the Client constructor
  • npm install -g gulp
  • npm install (grabs node modules)
  • pip install -r requirements.txt (pro tip: use a virtual environment)
  • gulp watch
  • python

Note: Both gulp watch and python are long running processes so you'll need two terminal instances to run both. gulp watch will automagically rebuild the js after a file is saved to disk.
