A variant on Spotify's docker-gc container that runs garbage collection daily a nightly cron job. See the original (excellent) docker-gc resource at https://github.com/spotify/docker-gc.
By default, this container will simply set up the cron job and sit patiently in the background. To execute as an on-demand cleanup job, you'll need to execute "docker-gc" explicitly on the command line.
To execute, run the following:
docker run -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock xsbinc/docker-gc:latest
If you want to explicitly include a
docker-gc-exclude file, you can mount it in with an additional
-v flag. If the file is located at
/data/docker-gc-exclude (for example) include the following flag in the above command:
