1doctordocker1/rsa-encryptor repository overview

RSA Encryptor

A lightweight, standalone Java Spring Boot utility for RSA encryption using X.509 RSA public keys. The application supports both Command Line Interface (CLI) and REST API modes, making it suitable for local development, automation scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.

Features

  • RSA encryption using RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding
  • Accepts Base64-encoded X.509 RSA public keys
  • Command Line Interface (CLI) for quick encryption
  • REST API for programmatic integration
  • Docker-ready for easy deployment
  • Built with Java 21 and Spring Boot 3
  • Uses Java Cryptography Architecture (JCA) without third-party cryptography libraries

Quick Start

Run as a Docker Container (REST API)
docker run -d -p 8080:8080 <your-dockerhub-username>/rsa-encryptor:latest

REST Endpoint:

POST http://localhost:8080/api/v1/encrypt

Request:

{
  "publicKey": "<BASE64_PUBLIC_KEY>",
  "keyword": "password"
}
Run in CLI Mode
docker run --rm <your-dockerhub-username>/rsa-encryptor:latest \
  --publicKey="<BASE64_PUBLIC_KEY>" \
  --keyword="password"

Output
