Percona Xtrabackup with Cron job

Usage example with compose (commented options have default values):
sqldb-backup-cron:
image: 1kmenu/xtrabackup-qpress-cron:8.0
environment:
- "BACKUP_HOST=sqldb"
- "BACKUP_USER=bkpuser"
- "BACKUP_PASSWORD=bkpassword"
# - "BACKUP_PROFILE=main"
# - "BACKUP_JOB=* */12 * * * /db-backup.sh"
volumes:
- /backup/volume/path:/backupdir
- /mysql/lib/volume/path:/var/lib/mysql:ro
Default backup script /db-backup.sh makes full backup weekly and incremental every day with followed directory structure:
/backupdir/main/week_X/day_[1-7]/...
Xtrabackup container must run on the same host as Percona database container!
Backup files are compressed with qpress. You can decompress it with 1kmenu/xtrabackup-qpress:8.0.
