2tefan/multiarch-test repository overview

multiarch-test

This is a little test program to test compiling for various cpu architectures, such as amd64 or aarch64.

Building

With buildx

The continuous integration software (I currently use circleCI) will automaticly build the docker image for all platforms, that are possible:

  • linux/arm64/v8
  • linux/amd64
  • linux/386
  • linux/arm/v7
  • linux/ppc64le
  • linux/s390x

This version will get the tag buildx, because as already the name amplies, it was build with buildx.

Without buildx

But wait there is more, if you don't want to use buildx, you can also "manually" build the Dockerfile for all platforms, that you desire.

Just use build.sh. It will use the platform you are currently on and build the Dockerfile for it, but this means you have to build your project on every platform you want to use it on. This will get the tag test- and all platforms are combined under test. Currently only x86 and aarch64 are supported, but feel free to extend it.

Usage

Just pull the image from docker: 2tefan/multiarch-test. The test tag is the dockerfile build without buildx and buildx is build with buildx.

docker run 2tefan/multiarch-test:buildx
