4points/openwrt repository overview

Openwrt-aarch64 Docker Image

Lede-18.06 Built on kissyouhunter image.

Openwrt-23.05 Built on openwrt.ai image.

Statement

  • You can run this container on the arm64 or the same arm device
  • The container is still in beta and may not work on some devices

Usage

1. Create a macvlan network

docker network create -d macvlan --subnet=192.168.xx.0/24 --gateway=192.168.xx.yy -o parent=eth0 macnet

If you are using an interface other than the eth0 interface, change it to the one you are using, and if the network is in bridge mode use the following commands to create the interface

docker network create -d macvlan --subnet=192.168.xx.0/24 --gateway=192.168.xx.yy -o parent=br-lan macnet

Note: macnet is the network name, macvlan is the network mode, change the IP to the primary routing segment and IP address.

2. Pull the image and create containers
docker run -itd \
  --restart always \
  --name openwrt \
  --hostname openwrt \
  --network macnet \
  --privileged \
  --ulimit nofile=16384:65536 \
  -v /lib/modules/$(uname -r):/lib/modules/$(uname -r) \
  4points/openwrt:s905 \
  /sbin/init

Note: If you want to use 23.05 images, change the s905 tag to rpi3plus

3. Changing the firmware's default IP address

Note: 192.168.xx.zz change to your desired network IP address

docker exec openwrt sed -e 's/192.168.2.4/192.168.xx.zz/' -i /etc/config/network

Restart the network configuration (in the container) after changing the ip address

docker exec openwrt /etc/init.d/network restart

Finally, open your browser and visit the openwrt page to make other settings.
