A lightweight, containerized React development environment built with Vite. Features hot module replacement for rapid development and runs securely as a non-root user.

⁠Security

Runs with a dedicated app user and group — no root privileges required.

⁠Quick Start

Pull and run the image:

docker run -p 5173:5173 your-image-name

or build locally:

docker build -t my-react-app .
docker run -p 5173:5173 my-react-app

⁠Access

Open http://localhost:5173⁠ in your browser.

⁠Development Mount:

Mount your source code for live reload:

docker run -p 5173:5173 -v $(pwd):/app your-image-name

Run in powershell if you are in windows

⁠PORTS:

• 5173: Vite default development server port.

⁠Base Image:

• Node 20 Alpine Linux
