A base Docker image for plone Projects
This image is published on docker hub:
You can try the latest Plone version by using this command::
docker run --name plone -p 8080:8080 abstracttechnology/plone:latest
You can extend this base image by creating a Dockerfile that extends the one defined in this image and by using a different buildout.cfg file::
FROM abstracttechnology/plone:latest
MAINTAINER Abstract <[email protected]>
COPY buildout.cfg buildout.cfg
RUN bin/buildout -v
The buildout.cfg file must extends base.cfg, for example::
[buildout]
extends = base.cfg
# eggs under development
develop =
src/collective.quickupload
[instance-settings]
eggs +=
collective.geo.bundle
collective.quickupload
Then you would build your own custom image::
docker build -t myproject .
And you would run you image:
docker run --name myproject_plone -v pwd/src:/srv/webapp/src -p 8080:8080 myproject
If you wish to use docker-compose, you could add a file docker-compose.yml with::
plone:
build: .
ports:
- 8080:8080
volumes:
- "./src:/srv/webapp/src"
And then you can build and run you container like this:
docker-compose run --rm --service-ports plone
# Debug instance
This image provides two zope instances:
You can run the debug instance by using this command::
docker run --name plone -p 8080:8080 abstracttechnology/plone:latest bin/debuginstance fg
