⁠izpbx-asterisk for linux/arm64

An arm64 build of izPBX⁠ — Asterisk 20 + FreePBX 16 in one container — with one change: the MariaDB ODBC connector is replaced by MySQL Connector/ODBC 26.7.

Upstream izdock/izpbx-asterisk publishes amd64 images only. This image is built on a Jetson AGX Orin (Ubuntu 24.04, aarch64) from the unmodified upstream Dockerfile at the tag named in the image tag, e.g. 20.16.21-odbc26 = upstream tag 20.16.21.

⁠Why the ODBC change

mariadb-connector-odbc 3.1.12 — the newest version in EL8 — makes Asterisk core-dump when cel_odbc connects to a MariaDB 11.x server. MariaDB ships no newer prebuilt aarch64 RPM, so the image installs MySQL Connector/ODBC 26.7 (prebuilt for el8 aarch64) and points /usr/lib64/libmaodbc.so at it via a symlink. ODBC is vendor-neutral, so the MySQL driver talks to MariaDB and MySQL servers alike. The original library is kept as /usr/lib64/libmaodbc.so.mariadb-3.1.12.orig.

The symlink is deliberate: izPBX's entrypoint-hooks.sh rewrites odbcinst.ini to that exact path on every start, so aliasing the file name survives upstream upgrades.

⁠Usage

Drop-in replacement for izdock/izpbx-asterisk — same environment variables, volumes and ports, see the upstream README⁠. Only linux/arm64 is provided. Tested with MariaDB 11.8 as external database and network_mode: host.
