The Informix server image provides an installed and configuration instance of HCL Informix Database Server. The database instance is installed and deployed without a valid activation license so the database instance will be stopped when deployed.

License

A valid license for the Informix database instance can be obtained by downloading and running the lichostinfo binary on the host cluster. The provided license.xml file gets defined in an specific kubernetes secret (see the product documentation) which the server will recognize and validate. The license file will expire and need to be refreshed on a periodic basis. ESD⁠
