Windows Server Core Image with Redstor ESE pre-installed.
378
The Redstor ESE is containerised within Windows Server Core 2019 LTS.
Launches, creates or reconnects to an account, and then runs a backup of the C:\BackupData folder (which can be mapped externally using -v).
The container mounts the program data and config paths to output logs and to handle account persistency. Configuration details must be mounted via the C:\ConnTemp folder as the contents of this are moved by script into the correct location, and then copied out when backups complete.
To run specify the following to mount folders:
-v :"C:/ProgramData/Redstor Pro/Backup Client ESE" -v :"C:/ConnTemp" -v :"C:/backupdata"
To create or reconnect to an account (not required or used if config path is populated and in use):
-e Account= -e key=<encryption_key> -e password=<account_password> -e sp=<storage_platform_address> -e group=<path_to_backup_group> -e groupkey=<group_create_key> -e create=<true/false> -e secure=<true/false> -e tunnel=<true/false>
Set "create" to false to reconnect to an account instead of creating one. Set "secure" to true if passwords are being passed into container in encrypted state. Set "tunnel" to false to disable use of remote tunnel.
sp, group and groupkey values can be obtained from the Redstor platform you are using. Please contact [email protected] for assistance if required.
Example of run command:
docker run -v C:/mydata/progdata:"C:/ProgramData/Redstor Pro/Backup Client ESE" -v C:/mydata/conn:"C:/ConnTemp" -v C:/mydata/backupdata:"C:/backupdata" -e Account="wibble" -e key="enigma123" -e password="password" -e sp="sp.pro.redstor.com" -e group="Redstor\demo\group" -e groupkey="13249875adf" -e create=true adamfredstor/redstorese:firsttry
