This container serves the A.E.L.L.A. frontend: a React + TypeScript single-page application that consumes the backend API to provide instant pronunciation, smart definitions, and export workflows (Anki, Obsidian).

⁠🚀 Quick Start

First install the Backend:

docker pull aendari/universallanguageapp-backend:latest

docker run -d \
  --name aella-backend \
  -p 8000:8000 \
  aendari/universallanguageapp-backend:latest

Then Start the Frontend:

docker pull a-endari/aella-frontend:latest

docker run -d \
  --name aella-frontend \
  -p 3000:3000 \
  aendari/universallanguageapp-frontend:latest

At last go to the http://localhost:3000⁠ and enjoy the app 🥰!

⁠⚙️ Configuration (Environment Variables)

• REACT_APP_API_URL — backend API base URL (e.g. https://api.example.com)
• NODE_ENV — build-time environment (development / production)
• SENTRY_DSN — optional error reporting
• BASE_PATH — optional base path when hosting on a subpath

⁠🔌 Exposed Ports

• 80/tcp — HTTP (Nginx serving static assets)

Healthcheck: A basic HTTP probe to / or /index.html is included for production images.

⁠📦 Serving Strategy

• For production, prefer the static build served by Nginx or another minimal web server.
• For local development, use the dev server (npm/yarn start) and mount source.
