afscmeio/wildfly-10-base repository overview

Wildfly 10 with common JDBC drivers. Based on afscmeio/java-8-base:latest

Includes a cleanup script and a standalone.xml which activates the JDBC drivers. standalone.xml also shunts the logging level of several built in components to make TRACE and DEBUG levels more usable.

A JBOSS_HOME snippet is created and placed in /etc/profiles.d/.

An external deployment path is created at /var/lib/jboss/(standalone|domain)/(deploy|undeploy) and marked as a volume. This path should be mapped to a host path or volume container when a container is started from this image.

The default http port 8080 and default managment port 9990 are exposed. An initial user is created for the management console, user = admin, password = wildfly. BE CERTAIN TO CHANGE THESE BEFORE USING THIS IMAGE ON THE PUBLIC INTERNET.

This image is intended to be run with the containers external deployment path mapped to the docker host filesystem. To create the host path before starting the container, perform the following after creating the WILDFLY_USER and WILDFLY_GROUP on the docker host:

WILDFLY_DEPLOY=/var/lib/jboss WILDFLY_USER=jboss WILDFLY_GROUP=jboss

mkdir -p $WILDFLY_DEPLOY mkdir -p $WILDFLY_DEPLOY/standalone/deploy mkdir -p $WILDFLY_DEPLOY/standalone/undeploy mkdir -p $WILDFLY_DEPLOY/domain/deploy mkdir -p $WILDFLY_DEPLOY/domain/undeploy chown -R $WILDFLY_USER.$WILDFLY_GROUP $WILDFLY_DEPLOY chmod -R 775 $WILDFLY_DEPLOY

Then, to start a container from this image, run something like this:

$ docker run -d
-v /var/lib/jboss:/var/lib/jboss:Z
-p 8080:8080
-p 9990:9990
--name=my-wildfly
