akiyks/perfbook-build-fedora repository overview

perfbook is an open-source textbook of parallel programming edited by Paul E. McKenney.
The Git repository is at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/paulmck/perfbook.git.
perfbook's project page is at https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/paulmck/perfbook/perfbook.html.

To build the textbook from the LaTeX sources, you need properly installed TeX Live and other dependent packages.
This Docker image contains such packages based on Fedora.
The Dockerfile used to build this image is available in the Git repo under the "docker/" subdirectory as Dockerfile.fedora.

Note for users of rootless docker and user-mode podman:

rootless docker and podman map host uid of your own to "root" in the container.

Use the following command to run by podman:

podman run --rm -it -v <path to your perfbook repository clone>:/work:z akiyks/perfbook-build-fedora:rootless

Images with the tag name of "fxx-minimal" are smaller and contain reduced set of TeX Live packages.

Tag names of "latest" and "rootless" now corresponds to the minimal images.
