⁠NDI Discovery Server in Docker

⁠Overview

The NDI Discovery Server centralizes registration and discovery of NDI sources across a network.
It is recommended for environments with multiple devices and applications that need efficient communication.

⁠Docker Image

A minimal Docker image can be built using debian:stable-slim as the base

⁠Recommended Deployment Mode

⁠For production, run the container in host network mode:

docker run -d --name ndi_discovery_server \
  --network host \
  albertfns/ndi-discovery-server:latest

⁠Why Host Mode?

• NDI relies on multicast and broadcast traffic for discovery.
• Host mode avoids NAT and bridge networking issues.
• Simplifies integration with existing NDI-enabled devices on the LAN.
