aleksandur24/webserver_testing repository overview

Webserver image

This repository is a test to see how containerization of a specific app would work. For this repository, I'm testing out how to deploy a simple webserver with some basic files. Since this is only for testing purposes and not a real use-case, I will be using HTTP transport for the webserver, assuming it is never to be actually deployed in a production setting. The example content that is being served comes from a very basic different project in which I recreated the game Battleship.

Usage

Simply pull the image and run it using docker run --name YOURNAME -d -p 80:80 aleksandur24/webserver_testing:1.5 . A basic Apache-webserver will start and can be accesses through any browser. Most often you will view it on http://localhost:80, but in general theaddress is http://[IP]:[PORT] , depending on which port you assign to it when running the docker command.
