⁠n8n-ytdlp

The official n8n⁠ 2.x image with the yt-dlp⁠ nightly, ffmpeg and ffprobe added, for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64. It follows n8n's stable track. n8n itself is not modified.

This is not an official n8n image, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by n8n.

⁠Tags

• 2, 2.Y, 2.Y.Z: floating tags that move to the newest custom image.
• 2.Y.Z-YYYYMMDD-HHMM: build tags that never move.
• There is no latest tag.

The Execute Command node stays disabled by default. The documentation gives the exact NODES_EXCLUDE setting that enables it.

⁠Licenses and source code

This image redistributes the software below. These notes are not legal advice; the linked license texts apply. Each image records the exact versions in its labels:

• n8n is under the Sustainable Use License⁠. You may use it only for your own internal business purposes or for non-commercial or personal use. You may distribute it only free of charge for non-commercial purposes. The source is the tag n8n@<version> at https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n⁠; the label io.github.aliyusufergin.n8n-ytdlp.n8n.version names the version. The rest of the image is the unmodified upstream n8nio/n8n image, whose components keep their own licenses.
• yt-dlp is under the Unlicense, but its single-file build includes GPLv3+ code, so the binary as a whole is licensed under GPLv3+ (yt-dlp's licensing notes⁠). The source is the yt-dlp commit that the nightly release names at https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp-nightly-builds/releases/tag/<tag>; the label io.github.aliyusufergin.n8n-ytdlp.yt-dlp.tag names the release.
• ffmpeg and ffprobe come from mwader/static-ffmpeg⁠ and are licensed under the GNU GPL version 3 or later. The FFmpeg source is at https://ffmpeg.org/releases/⁠, for the version in the label io.github.aliyusufergin.n8n-ytdlp.ffmpeg.version. The build recipe, with the source of every linked library, is at https://github.com/wader/static-ffmpeg⁠.
