Overview

This repository provides Docker images for Apache Tomcat 11.0.6 running on OpenJDK 23 (Debian Bookworm).
Intended for deploying and testing Java web applications.

Important: On first container run, you must set the admin password via the TOMCAT_ADMIN_PASSWORD environment variable.
The password will be saved and not required on subsequent starts.

Quick Start

docker run -d -p 8080:8080 \
-e TOMCAT_ADMIN_PASSWORD=yourpassword \
--name tomcat \
aomikhailovimg/tomcat11-jdk23  

Exposed Port

• 8080 – Tomcat web interface

Environment Variable

• TOMCAT_ADMIN_PASSWORD – required only for the first run
