⁠What is ansible

ansible is a docker image build on alpine.

Included are aws cli, docker cli, git, boto and boto3 clients.

⁠Usage

To get the image:

docker pull alvin2439/ansible

Snipplet of docker-compose file

version: '3'
services:
  ansible:
    image: alvin2439/ansible
    container_name: ansible
    hostname: ansible
    volumes:
      - "./ansible:/home"
      - "/var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock"

The above assumes that the working directory has a folder ansible which will contain the inventories, vars, roles etc...

To go into the container, simple execute

docker-compose run ansible ash
