⁠backup mongodb in azure storage

A little helper to create a backup of a mongodb using mongodump, storing the dump in azure blob storage using azcopy.

Tools used:

⁠setup & usage

make sure you set the following environment variables, in .env

variabledescription
MONGO_URImongo host URI
AZURE_SAAzure Storage account name
AZURE_BLOB_CONTAINERname of the azure storage blob container
AZURE_DESTINATION_KEYazure storage account destination key
DBname of mongo database to backup
MONGO_USERNAMEusername for mongodb
MONGO_PASSWORDpassword to authenticate against mongodb
MONGO_AUTH_DBname of mongo authentication database

run ./backup_mongo.sh inside the container
