andresramirez991228/hprt-open-dashboard repository overview

hprt-open-dashboard

Web app to edit and print photos on HPRT CP4x Wi‑Fi photo printers (CP4100 and family), straight from the browser, on desktop or mobile, in English or Spanish.

hprt-open-dashboard needs the bridge hprt-open-bridge to reach the printer: browsers cannot open the raw TCP/UDP sockets the printer uses. The image serves the app and forwards /api to the bridge, so the browser only talks to one address.

Browser ──► hprt-open-dashboard (this image) ── /api ──► hprt-open-bridge ──► printer

What you can do

  • Edit the photo for the 100 × 148 mm postcard:
    • fill or fit, 90° rotation, automatic rotation of landscape photos, zoom;
    • crop grid and full screen preview.
  • Lab adjustments: brightness, contrast, saturation and color filters (Vivid, Polaroid, B&W, Warm, Cinema).
  • Date stamp:
    • the capture date read from the photo (EXIF), or a date typed by hand;
    • several formats and ink colors.
  • Real preview of the exact file the printer will receive.
  • Print:
    • choose the quality (transfer size) and the number of copies;
    • follow every stage live: sending, yellow, magenta, cyan, laminate;
    • cancel the job, or press Continue to prepare the next photo while the current one prints.
  • Printer status: battery, firmware, serial number, print counter, errors (paper, ribbon, jam).
  • Link quality: latency of the last heartbeats with a chart, packet loss and a ping test.
  • Connection:
    • find printers on the network or type their IP;
    • pair over Bluetooth (Web Bluetooth) to read the printer, move it to another Wi‑Fi network or enable its own hotspot.
  • Protocol log: live console with filters (commands, network, alerts, Bluetooth), pause and export to .log.

Quick start

  1. Start the bridge (hprt-open-bridge) so it listens on an address the container can reach (for example 0.0.0.0:8787).
  2. Start hprt-open-dashboard and point it to the bridge:
docker run -d --name hprt-open-dashboard -p 8080:80 \
  -e BRIDGE_URL=http://host.docker.internal:8787 \
  --add-host host.docker.internal:host-gateway \
  andresramirez991228/hprt-open-dashboard
  1. Open http://localhost:8080.
Docker Compose (app + bridge)
services:
  hprt-open-dashboard:
    image: andresramirez991228/hprt-open-dashboard
    ports:
      - "8080:80"
    environment:
      BRIDGE_URL: http://host.docker.internal:8787
    extra_hosts:
      - "host.docker.internal:host-gateway"
    restart: unless-stopped

  bridge:
    image: andresramirez991228/hprt-open-bridge
    network_mode: host # UDP discovery and the printer on the LAN need the host network
    environment:
      BRIDGE_APP_REST_ADDR: 0.0.0.0:8787
    restart: unless-stopped

Configuration

VariableDefaultDescription
BRIDGE_URLhttp://host.docker.internal:8787URL of the bridge as seen from the container, without a trailing /

The container listens on port 80; publish it on any port of the host (-p 8080:80).

Notes

  • Bluetooth only works in Chrome or Edge, and only on localhost or HTTPS. From another device of the network over http://IP:8080 everything works except the Bluetooth section; put an HTTPS proxy in front if you need it.
  • The printers only join 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi networks.
  • Images for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 (Raspberry Pi included).
