android3/task-4-docker-training repository overview

Both images in this repo have been built using the alpine3.6 base image. The python application in each image prints out 2*X, where X is an environment variable.

In image "task-4a-runtime-env", X can be provided at runtime (follow the prompt), otherwise it defaults to 5.

In image "task-4b-cmd-line-env", X must be provided as an argument in the command line when spinning up the container.

To run the images:

• task-4a-runtime-env: docker run -it -p 3000:3000 android3/task-4-docker-training:task-4a-runtime-env
• task-4b-cmd-line-env: docker run -e X=<your_env_value> -it -p 3000:3000 android3/task-4-docker-training:task-4b-cmd-line-env
