Privileged access:

Create a Single Pod to get Privileged access to a host with hostNetwork, hostPID and hostIPC

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sachin-net/netshoot/master/netshoot-pid-net-ipc-access-pod.yaml

Create DaemonSet to get Privileged access to multiple hosts with hostNetwork, hostPID and hostIPC

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sachin-net/netshoot/master/netshoot-pid-net-ipc-access-daemonset-pod.yaml

NON-Privileged access:

Create a Single Pod to get NON-Privileged access

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sachin-net/netshoot/master/netshoot-without-pid-net-ipc-access-pod.yaml

Create DaemonSet to get NON-Privileged access to multiple hosts

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sachin-net/netshoot/master/netshoot-without-pid-net-ipc-access-daemonset-pod.yaml

HOW TO ACCESS THE POD(S) ?

Exec into one of the Pod based on the Worker node on which you want to debug

kubectl get po -o wide | grep netshoot

To exec into one of the application contianer as a privileged user then use below command. This can be extremely helpful if your application container does not allow privileged access.

docker exec -it --user=root --privileged CONTAINER_ID bash

#OR

docker run -it --net container:<CONTAINER_ID> nicolaka/netshoot
