Feature additions and modifications to AH Formatter are only reflected in the latest version of the Docker image (tag number). Also, revisions to the Docker image itself will only be made to the latest version of the Docker image.

AH Formatter V6.6 is software to format XML/HTML documents and output them to paged media such as PDF, XPS and paper. It supports page layouts specified using both XSL-FO (Extensible Stylesheet Language - Formatting Objects) and CSS (Cascading StyleSheets) including CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets Level 3).

AH Formatter V6.6 is available in three variants that can format both XSL-FO and CSS, XSL-FO only, or CSS only, respectively. Each of those has a corresponding 'Lite' variant with restricted functionality.

• When the input is an (X)HTML document, AH Formatter V6.6 formats it immediately using a default HTML stylesheet.
• When the inputs are an XML document or an (X)HTML document plus a CSS file, AH Formatter V6.6 formats the document immediately.
• When the input is an XSL Formatting Object document, AH Formatter V6.6 formats it immediately.
• When the inputs are an XML document plus an XSL stylesheet, AH Formatter V6.6 transforms the document to XSL Formatting Objects (or to XHTML) using an XSLT Processor and formats the XSL Formatting Objects or XHTML.

PDF output is a standard function of AH Formatter. The PDF versions that can be output are as follows:

• PDF1.3 – 1.7
• PDF/X (no-LT)
• PDF/A (no-LT)
• PDF/UA (no-LT)
• Tagged PDF

PDF versions marked "no-LT" are not available with AH Formatter Lite.
