DockerImages for an Doris development environment

build-env

The image has Doris build enviroment. The image is about 3.5 GB and can be downloaded from dockerhub.

step1: Download image from dockerhub

docker pull apachedoris/doris-dev:build-env

(Optional) If you want to build image by yourself, please following docker_build.md in https://github.com/apache/incubator-doris/blob/master/docker⁠. Also, there is dockerfile in https://github.com/apache/incubator-doris/blob/master/docker⁠

step2: Using the dev image:

download code from github

$ cd /localpath/to/incubator-doris && git clone https://github.com/apache/incubator-doris.git

step3: build in container

The first build (both be and fe) in container will be take about 30~50 minutes depending on your network env. Download jar dependency of fe occupied the most of build time. After the first build, the average build time will be take about 1~2 minutes.

$ docker pull apachedoris/doris-dev:build-env
$ docker run -it --name {name} -v /localpath/to/incubator-doris/:/imagepath/to/incubator-doris/ apachedoris/doris-dev:build-env
[container]$ cd /imagepath/to/incubator-doris
# build fe
[container]$ sh build.sh  --fe
# build be
[container]$ sh build.sh --be
# build fe and be 
[container]$ sh build.sh
