The easiest way to run the Mithril node is to run it on the same node as the Block Producer, because it needs to access the KES skey, the Operational Certificate, the socket file and the node's db folder. You can start your Mithril signer as a Docker container by editing the variables in the script below and running it:
#!/bin/bash
IMAGE=apexpool/mithril
VERSION=latest
NAME=mithril-preview
NODE_PATH=<path to the BP node>
KES_SECRET_KEY_PATH=/opt/mithril/keys/kes.skey
OPERATIONAL_CERTIFICATE_PATH=/opt/mithril/certs/node.cert
CARDANO_NODE_SOCKET_PATH=/opt/cardano/cnode/socket/node.socket
NETWORK=preview
NETWORK_MAGIC=2
AGGREGATOR_ENDPOINT=https://aggregator.pre-release-preview.api.mithril.network/aggregator
docker run \
--restart unless-stopped -d \
--name ${NAME} \
--log-driver json-file \
--log-opt max-size=100m \
--log-opt max-file=100 \
-e NETWORK="${NETWORK}" \
-e NETWORK_MAGIC="${NETWORK_MAGIC}" \
-e KES_SECRET_KEY_PATH="${KES_SECRET_KEY_PATH}" \
-e OPERATIONAL_CERTIFICATE_PATH="${OPERATIONAL_CERTIFICATE_PATH}" \
-e AGGREGATOR_ENDPOINT="${AGGREGATOR_ENDPOINT}" \
-e CARDANO_NODE_SOCKET_PATH="${CARDANO_NODE_SOCKET_PATH}" \
-v /opt/cardano/deployment/${NAME}:/opt/mithril \
-v ${NODE_PATH}/certs:/opt/mithril/certs \
-v ${NODE_PATH}/keys:/opt/mithril/keys \
-v ${NODE_PATH}/db:/opt/cardano/cnode/db \
-v ${NODE_PATH}/socket:/opt/cardano/cnode/socket \
