apexrnd/apexofficeprint repository overview

Docker image for apexofficeprint see: www.apexofficeprint.com

Dockerfile

You can also build it by yourself. The docker file instruction for version latest (21.1 as of 20/05/2021) are as follows:

FROM ubuntu:21.04
ARG email

EXPOSE 8010
ENV DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive
RUN apt-get update && \
    apt-get install -y libreoffice && \
    apt-get install net-tools && \
    mkdir /APEXOfficePrint/ && \
    cd /APEXOfficePrint/ && \
    apt-get install -y wget && \
    apt-get install -y unzip && \
    wget https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/apexofficeprint/linux/aop_linux_latest.zip && \
    unzip aop_linux_latest.zip && \
    rm aop_linux_latest.zip && \
    version=$(ls -d */|head -n 1) && \
    mv $version/server/* ./ && \
    rm -r $version/ && \
    chmod u+x APEXOfficePrintLinux64
RUN wget https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/6.4.7.2/deb/x86_64/LibreOffice_6.4.7.2_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz  && \
    tar -xvf LibreOffice_6.4.7.2_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz && \
    rm LibreOffice_6.4.7.2_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz && \
    dpkg -i LibreOffice_6.4.7.2_Linux_x86-64_deb/DEBS/*.deb && \
    rm -r LibreOffice_6.4.7.2_Linux_x86-64_deb && \
    rm /usr/bin/soffice  && \
    ln -s /opt/libreoffice6.4/program/soffice /usr/bin/soffice
RUN cd  /APEXOfficePrint/ && ./APEXOfficePrintLinux64 -a $email
ENTRYPOINT ["/APEXOfficePrint/APEXOfficePrintLinux64"]

You can then build the docker image by running the following command:

 docker build --build-arg email=<your aop email address> -t apexrnd/apexofficeprint .

Running AOP

AOP will by default run on port 8010. You will have to map a port from you machine to the running container. See https://docs.docker.com/config/containers/container-networking/

docker run -p 8010:8010 apexrnd/apexofficeprint [AOP Args]

You can also just pull this repo, however this is a trial version image. You can activate manually by dropping a shell to a running container using the following command:

docker exec -it "id of running container" bash
cd /APEXOfficePrint/
./APEXOfficePrintLinux64 -a $email

Running AOP in HTTPS mode

If you have a certificate and key for HTTPS, you can specify them as follows:

docker run -p 8010:8010 --name APEXOfficePrint -v /absolute/location/to/credentials/folder:/https_certs apexrnd/apexofficeprint --https_cert /https_certs/CRTFILENAME --https_key /https_certs/KEYFILENAME

If have built the docker image yourself, you can just move put the certificate and key file in same location as the Dockerfile and add the following line in docker file (right before ENTRYPOINT):

COPY location_to_your_crt_file_name /APEXOfficePrint/
COPY location_to_your_key_file_name /APEXOfficePrint/

You can then reference these files while running AOP

docker run -p 8010:8010 --name APEXOfficePrint apexrnd/apexofficeprint --https_cert ./CRT_FILENAME --https_key KEY_FILENAME
